About Us

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our adult acute inpatient unit at Dandenong.  This is a 25 bed ward which sits within the Adult Bed Based Service under the Mental Health program. The primary role of the ANUM is to lead and mentor a team of nursing staff and other health professional staff and students.  The ANUM will also ensure the effective and efficient running of the Unit including liaising with relevant stakeholders and senior management, reporting, rostering,  training and education. This role will also oversee and ensure residents are provided with the most appropriate treatment program and that best practice standards are met at all times.

About you

As an experienced ANUM, you will have demonstrated skills in managing the day to day operations, staffing and patient care within the mental health sector in an acute hospital setting. This is an excellent career path for a suitably qualified professional with advanced clinical and team building skills who is committed to leading by example and delivering a patient-focussed service. You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your leadership and management skills whilst representing role model nursing excellence and delivering a high standard of patient care.  These are full time (1.0 EFT) roles working on a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.

What you need

Current AHPRA registration

Proven clinical experience

Postgraduate qualifications in mental health

Relevant working visa

Current mental health experience

Selection Criteria

Acute Inpatient experience

Registered Nurse with Post Graduate or base qualification in Mental Health

Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience.

Leadership experience

Evidence of completion of Graduate year in Mental Health

Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, flexible and fast paced environment
