About Monash Health

Further extending our newborn and children’s specialities, in early 2017 we opened a new 230 bed dedicated Children’s Hospital, co-located with Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. Unit 2 at Monash Health Dandenong is a 25 Bed inpatient unit which sits within the Adult Bed Based Service under the Mental Health program. The service provides Youth aged from 16 to 25 years who require Mental Health Short term inpatient management and treatment during an acute or severe phase of Mental illness, through until management within the community is a safe option. Situated in Dandenong, the unit serves a culturally diverse population.
With the provision of a range of therapeutic interventions and programs, both patients and families are able to learn about the impact of illness and explore ways to better manage within their environment with coping strategies as they move toward recovery.
As an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will have demonstrated skills in managing the day to day operations, staffing and patient care of a hospital ward or similar. With your caring and engaging manner and will be required to work a 7 day a week rotational roster. You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your leadership and management skills whilst role modelling nursing excellence and delivering a high standard of patient care.
In addition, you have, or are working towards Post Graduate Qualifications in Mental Health and are passionate and dedicated in providing patient care within the Mental Health sector in an acute hospital setting, while understanding the Mental Health Act 2014 and demonstrating excellent clinical knowledge. You advocate the values set within an organisation within every aspect of your practice and role model others to do the same. You communicate clearly and effectively at all levels and have the ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate openness to change and innovation within the workplace and lead by example.

What you need
Current AHPRA registration
Proven clinical experience
Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health (or working towards this)
Current mental health experience
Demonstrated management & leadership skills
