Purpose of Position
The Administration Support Officer provides administrative support to the Department of Geriatric Medicine. The position includes support to the Clinical Director, Department Head and Geriatricians.
The position requires flexibility as it exists in environments of interruption and functions with a degree of independence.
Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support in a hospital or medical environment.
Demonstrated experience in the use of Medical terminology and Dictaphone typing.
Demonstrated experience in the use of MS Office Suite products.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and use initiative.
Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.
Current valid Australian Drivers licence.
