Purpose of Position
Provide a high quality medical imaging service to patients and carers of HNEI – Maitland and to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients of the service.
All clinical participation must be in accord with the level of training, experience, and where appropriate, recognised qualifications and credentialing, as agreed with the Chief Radiographer.
Typical tasks expected to be performed by Radiographers include: undertaking imaging in general radiography; patient care tasks; administrative tasks as required; audit and quality assurance participation; supervision and training of staff and students; provision of a radiographic diagnostic opinion to support the treatment of patients; triaging of patients; basic examination of patients consistent with the skills of the staff member.
Eligible for registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA). Relevant Tertiary qualification - Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent. Current NSW EPA radiation Licence.

High level demonstration of skills in general radiography including operating theatre, mobiles, paediatrics and trauma. Demonstrated high level skills in CT scanning.
Eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
