Purpose of Position
Provide safe, compassionate person centred care within a Cardiac Catheterisation & Electrophysiology Laboratory ensuring care is delivered in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
Take a leadership role in the coordinating nursing care, working in partnership within a team setting.
Registered Nurse List A with a current registration in NSW
Expereince in Cardiac Catheter and Electrophysiology Laboratory nursing, scrubbing and scouting
Demonstrated ability to manage the nursing care of patient by applying evidence based practice and critical thinking.
Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care
Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in Cardiology or Critical Care advantageous for JHH Cardiac Cath Lab. Manage haemodynamic and rhythm changes pre and post care
Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients, families and communities focusing upon promotion and enhancement of outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and employees.
Ability to meet the requirement for all staff commencing in Cardiac Cath Lab to support the 24/7 on call roster and be available within a 30-40 minute radius once clinical competencies have been met.
