Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The administrative officer provides a professional and consumer focused first point of contact to health professionals as well as clients and family members referred to the Familial Cancer Service.

The Administrative officer provides essential administrative functions to support the delivery of cancer genetic services provided by medical, nursing and genetic counsellors.

Selection Criteria

  1. Experience working in a high-volume environment and a commitment to a multi-skilled team approach
  2. Demonstrated capacity to communicate confidently and courteously with people at all levels and a commitment to customer service
  3. Demonstrated experience using a variety of data, record keeping and ordering systems, billing, computer applications and electronic health record systems.
  4. Demonstrated initiative, organisational skills and ability to manage responsibilities within required timeframes under broad supervision.
  5. Proven Medical typing experience and knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  6. Experience with Patient Medical Record handling, including ability to register and make up new patient files.
