 Are you an experienced Emergency Registered Nurse? There is an exciting opportunity to progress your career within John Hunter Hospital Emergency Department. We are seeking passionate, motivated, team-orientated nursing staff to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Within a mixed ED environment nursing staff have the opportunity to care for both Adults and Paediatric patients and would be supported to transition through a diverse range of models of care including Fast Track, Resuscitation/ Trauma, Triage, CIN, & Coordination. There is opportunity to fast track your progression with educational support based on individual experience and skills.

Caring for over 80,000 presentations per annum, The JHH ED is one of the busiest mixed Adult/ Paediatrics tertiary referral centre in Australia and the only Trauma referral centre in NSW outside Sydney.
There are both permanent and temporary vacancies on offer.

What you'll be doing
Provide safe compassionate person centred care within the unit/facility ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be one of the following:
  • an Australian Citizen, or
  • a permanent resident of Australia, or
  • a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or
  • a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia
You can only be offered employment in this role for the duration that your current visa allows you to work in Australia, and you can only be offered ongoing employment if you have a permanent visa that allows you to work in Australia.
Job share arrangements will be considered.
