Wollongong Hospital is the largest of Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District’s eight hospitals with 500 beds, over 63,000 emergency presentations and treats more than 48,000 patients annually. It is the region’s tertiary referral hospital and provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and community-based services including; aged care, allied health, medicine and critical care, surgical and medical services, outpatient and referral services.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of this position is to provide quality patient care under the  direction of the Registered Nurse and to conduct patient care in a  professional and confidential manner.
 
Successful applicants to the role must provide certified documentation of vaccination history and pathology as part of their recruitment documentation. The applicant must be certified as compliant with http://www1.health.nsw.gov.au/pds/Pages/doc.aspx?dn=PD2018_009 before employment can commence.

Selection Criteria

 

1. Currently enrolled as an medication endorsed nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

 

2. Demonstrated ability to work in constantly changing environment.

 

3. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

 

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and understanding of relevant health related information systems.

 

5. Recent acute clinical experience in a health care setting.

 

6. Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and NSW Health C.O.R.E. values.
