Purpose of Position
The position of Librarian Grade 2 Gosford exists within Information Management and Technology (IM&T), Northern Sydney Central Coast Health (NSCCH). This position is a facility based position providing services to staff and stakeholders across the area. As such, the position may be required to travel to other sites across NSCCH. The substantive place of work for this position will be Gosford Hospital.
Under the leadership of the Area Library Services Manager, this position will be responsible for providing a range of library services in research and information gathering.
The position will also be responsible for ensuring that the libraries services adheres to service level agreements on minimum opening hours and access to trained librarians across NSCCH, and so may be required to second other librarians on leave at other facilities across NSCCH.
The Gosford Librarian Grade 2 position may be required to assist in library projects as directed by Area Library Services Manager.
This position plays a role in ensuring that the libraries team operates as a continuous quality improvement unit. This will include keeping process documentation current, as well as documentation on work and systems, and fostering a customer-focussed and quality based culture.
