Purpose of Position
Responsible for the day to day management of activities relevant to and assisting in the planning and implementation of the eMR clinical applications. Responsibilities include an understanding of multiple eMR modules; some examples include scheduling, order management, clinical documentation. The position has primary responsibility for the PowerChart Cardiovascular module.
The position will be required to undertake activities with multiple clinical modules as required.
Although this position will be based at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital campus there may be a requirement to work from time to time at the other Sydney Local Health District facilities.
The eMR Team provides support for a system that is in use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position will provide front-line staff with eMR application support and issues management and the successful occupant may be required to provide support out of hours to ensure availability of the system.
Qualifications in a clinical discipline and/or relevant experience
Demonstrated understanding of and experience with clinical processes, and experience in business process analysis
Demonstrated experience and understanding of computerised clinical information systems
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
Demonstrated experience in problem identification, analysis and resolution in a multi-user clinical information system
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of staff including clinical staff, management and technical staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in documenting procedures
Ability to work independently and in a team as required
