Purpose of Position

Perform or supervise those tasks of coordinating clinical pharmacy services within the department and reviewing existing and new projects for the pharmacy.  To help in reviewing the pharmacy services manual and the WH and S standards of practice. To provide a pharmacy service in keeping with the philosophy and mission of the profession and with the relevant standard guidelines and codes of practice.  To optimise patient outcomes by working to achieve the best quality use of medicines. To observe the legal and professional responsibilities in all matters related to the practice of pharmacy. Perform patient service, clinical and educational activities in his/her designated area(s) as outlined in the departmental Policy and Procedures Manual.  Conduct oneself in a courteous, helpful and professional manner reflecting the hospital philosophy and mission regarding service.

Selection Criteria

Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision of staff

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and professional development of self and others

Currently registered with AHPRA( Pharmacy registration with no restriction)

Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated commitment to Quality Improvement

Demonstrated clinical leadership experience
